Applying an Upgrade

To upgrade the firmware image on your WML Linux Thin Client, you upgrade over the network from the Foundry Linux Setup Manager.

The latest firmware is listed here.

Please note that firmwares older than 20080820_1233 cannot be upgraded. Please contact WML for further information.

Detailed instructions

1. Press F2 to launch the Setup Manager. Note that if there are any running connections, F2 will not launch the setup manager; shut down the connection or use the button on the Configuration tab of the Connection Manager.
2. Select the "Firmware" tab in the Setup Manager
3. Press the "Refresh" button to seach for a firmware image at the default URL of http://wmltd.co.uk/foundrylinux.
4. Now press the "Upgrade" button, then confirm that you want to upgrade and reboot.
5. The thin client will reboot, and download the firmware. Please be patient - the download is approximately 45 MB and may take some time, depending on the speed of your internet connection. Our data is hosted in London.
6. An "Automatic Firmware Update" window will appear, which will appear blank until the download is complete.
